Hi, I am writing from my Nook HD+. My home computer died yesterday. Or the night before after I turned it off. I went to turn it on yesterday morning and it would not come on. I tried several things that was suggested, but it just would not come on. I was not a happy camper. I took it in to a local computer shop. They called me almost as soon as I walked in the door at home. My mother board has died. Now I am not a big techy person, but I do know that means no computer.
I bought it at Nebraska Furniture Mart just last January 2012. Also I generally do not purchase an extended warrenty on things. Mainly because they aren’t needed. Well, since this was my second computer, and it was nicer than my last one, I decided to buy the extra warrenty. Thank goodness I did. It is good until 2016.
I have heard bad things about some places not honoring warrenties. I am praying that since Nebraska Furniture is a very good compny, they will not give me any problems. I called the number and they were very pleasent to talk to. They are going to send out a box and shipping label to send it back. The only thing is it may take seven or ten days to get it looked at and a decision made to fix it, or give me credit to get a new one. I don’t want to wait that long.
My old computer by the way lasted about nine years. It ran very slow toward the end, and I still have it for my grandaughter to play games on. I am trying to decide what to do with it. Try and sell it, keep it a little longer, or junk it. Anyone have a suggestion?
I hope this is going to work posting from my nook. I have not done that before. If it takes very long to get another computer, I will have to use my nook again. I do prefer the computer for this kind of thing. The keyboard is bigger.
Stay safe and God bless!
