And I am feeling better. I still wear out pretty fast when I try to do anything. There is a lot to be said about taking power naps. I have done a lot of those this last two weeks. Only my naps would last longer than the 15-20 minutes suggested. I have finally been sleeping pretty much cough free the last couple of nights. I didn’t cough this morning until I seen the screaming goat commercial in the peanut butter factory. I laughed and started to cough. If you have not seen this commercial, PLEASE check it out. GEICO- Scapegoat: It’s What You Do – Commercial 2015 You will have to scroll down and click on the video. The very first time I seen this commercial was at the beginning of my scratchy throat. I laughed so hard I cried and nearly didn’t make it to the bathroom. I must have been really in need of a good laugh. I rarely laugh that much and that hard. But when I do there is no controlling it. I laugh until I cry and my sides hurt. Granted it may not be as funny to some of you, but I found it hilarious.
Now to one of the things I have been wanting to post about. In early February we had a winter storm move through. These are some of the picture the day after. Thankfully we didn’t get too much, but the wind created some drifts. Not as bad as in past years. But enough to get the ATV stuck.
Ice sickles on our south porch.
Our hot wires were weighted down with ice and wet snow. Son and I had to walk along and scrape things off and bring it up again. Before we could get it done two cows had gotten out by stepping over the fence. I managed to get one back in, and the other one went around north into the wheat field. She disappeared by the time I got around there to see where she went. Her tracks led back over the fence that was weighed down there too. I have forgotten how hard it is to walk in the cold and snow.
This is a drift in our back yard, on the north side of the house.
This is our front yard on the south. I was trying to get the ice on the trees.
Here are some pictures to finish the post. Just for fun.
Stay Safe and God Bless!
❤
Cheryl, so glad you’re feeling better! After my z-pack and getting (mostly) over my bronchitis I was really tired, too. I think our bodies just know when we need sleep — so get it whenever you need it (your body will thank you!). Love the photos, and yes, that Geico commercial (many of theirs actually) is quite good! 🙂
