I had posted about being tired all the time and not wanting to get anything much done, and that I had found out that I have moderate Sleep Apnea. My husband and I both have moderate Sleep Apnea. I wanted to give an update on how I thought it has helped me. I do feel better. Much better. I still have a hard time wanting to do housework, though. 🙂 But I feel like I have more energy and want to do more about getting my health back in order.
I have put on quite a bit of weight over the last year and a half or so. I was talking to a friend about wanting to get back into walking for exercise and losing some weight. She belongs to a local TOPS group in Holton. She invited me to a meeting on September 1. I joined and lost 7.25 pounds in the month of September. I would not have done it without first getting my CPAP machine. Hubby still says he cannot tell the difference too much. He always has been able to keep busy even when he is tired. But, I think he must feel better. He is not napping all the time in his chair watching TV. He still does now and then, but not near as much. I still sit too much in front of the computer, and don’t get as much done as I should, but I do move around more and have been walking more. Our farm is pretty much the perfect walking space. It has flat and rolling ground. Going down is not a problem, but coming back up is way more work than a treadmill! 😀 And I still have trouble trying to eat better. Old habits really are hard to break.
Tops has helped a lot too. By the way it stands for Take Off Pounds Sensibly. As I write this, I feel like I may have a gain when I weigh in this coming Tuesday. We had pizza for lunch and supper tonight. Guess I do have one more day to eat better and walk more. Maybe I will make a post about my progress on TOPS later. Have a great week!
Stay Safe and God Bless!
❤
Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. I suspect the farm can give you a greater workout than any treadmill. 😉

You can’t get the views we see from a treadmill in a gym. One of the perks of walking on the farm. 🙂

Congratulations! I’m glad to hear you are feeling better and losing weight. Great news. What a great start to the month. Butler just got his machine two days ago. He used it for about four hours the past two nights, so not a lot of change yet, but I feel optimistic. It’s been a long time coming. So many sleep problems for him. Now if we can just get a handle on the asthma too. Oh, and yeah, and I hear you about keeping the weight off. A daily struggle. Good luck 🙂

Good to hear from you Susan. I have been thinking of you and the wild fires. I was hoping and praying you weren’t in any danger from them. I couldn’t remember where exactly you might be. I am very behind more than usual since my computer got a virus and I have only had it back for about a week.
I hope Butler will use it for more than four hours. My husband only uses his for about four, sometimes six hours a night. It is helping him, but he says he can’t really tell the difference. Sometimes I take mine off if I have trouble sleeping, or getting back to sleep after letting the dogs out about 3am. So far using the CPAP has helped with my sinus problems. Maybe it will help with Butler’s asthma. So hoping it works for him like it has worked for me. Stay safe. 🙂

Good to hear from you. I keep thinking I need to go thru a sleep study. Hubby tells me I snore terribly.

It is amazing how much better it can make you feel. At least in my opinion. If you think you need to, check with your doctor. It might help you a lot. My husband has been helped on the snoring part for sure. 🙂

I go on November. 4th for my check-up. I am going to ask her. My asthma might benefit too.
