May Have a Nervous Breakdown

I think I may have a nervous breakdown. Things just keep coming up with my daughter. After I picked granddaughter up from school, we went by their apartment and there was a notice on the door that she was behind on her rent payments. She gets help with her rent and I think this was more of an insurance thing that a lot of the apartments are wanting renters to pay for personal items and probably to cover any damage to the apartment. I am not totally sure. Hers was only ten dollars a month. She hasn’t paid since August of 2014. Unless she is able to pay the full amount she will have 30 days to move out.

We are definitely going to try and get temporary custody of granddaughter and hope and pray that her mom will get the help she needs to get her life in order. I can’t pray hard enough for her and granddaughter. Just wanted to give an update and get things off my chest.

Granddaughter seems pretty calm and glad to be here. She does miss her mom and wants to be with her, but she also seems to understand that she needs help. Especially with each new episode that unfolds.

Hope all is well with each of you. Have a great day and a wonderful weekend.

Stay Safe and God Bless!

  1. Grit your teeth and hold on. With arrears of 17 months it seems likely your daughter will lose her home unless a miracle happens. You’ll just have to get as much of your granddaughters stuff as you can for her and leave her mother to fend for herself. She has to learn to become responsible for herself and for her debts before she’s able to look after her daughter. She’s very lucky that you’re there to offer the support you are.

  2. I am doing okay. I have my ups and downs. All I can do is keep praying my daughter will actually change after all this and think more of her daughter dealing with this. It breaks my heart that she has to deal with this too. Thank you for your kind thought. 🙂
