Finally! Equifest Part One…

Finally I am getting to posting about my two days of the Equifest. Finally got the videos on YouTube.  Friday February 26 was the first day. There was a lot to see, but it didn’t really seem to be as big as it was in Wichita, Kansas. But I was the first time in Topeka. Hopefully it will be there again next year and bigger.

This video is about 12 minutes long, but it is worth a watch. At least it is for me. 🙂 This one is showing the beautiful Friesian horses.

This video is only about 7 minutes. It is showing the Rocky Mountain horses. My mare Diamond is half Rocky Mountain. Her Mom, Two Socks is half Quarter horse and half Tennessee Walker. The horse carrying the rider in the red coat, looks a lot like the stallion that is Diamond’s sire. But unfortunately Diamond doesn’t seem to have the gaits of these beautiful horses. If she does, I don’t know how to get her in it. I did get a chance to ride the stallion that sired Diamond. And that was a great ride! So smooth.

And here is some pictures of some very unique seats. I wish I could have found out if they were actually for sale. I couldn’t find a price tag anywhere on them.

I have more to come in part two.

Stay Safe and God Bless!

  1. I really wanted a stool, but even if I bought one, they really wouldn’t look right in the house. But hey what a conversation piece! 😀 I also thought the Knight was a nice touch. All of the costumes were beautiful. I drooled so much over all the horses! But the Friesians were my favorites. Especially when the one was urged into a fast lope. What a sight it was to see in person. I so wanted to get on and ride one! And there is more to come. I hope I won’t bore my readers. But this is what I love to post about. Have a wonderful Sunday and upcoming week.

  2. The horses are beautiful Cherryl and the videos well taken.I love that one was led out by a Knight Templar showing the weight the horse would be expected to carry. The bar stools are really funky I can find some really great ones via google, but not these particular ones.
